How Selene reads

TaroFlip is an AI tarot reader — we say that plainly. Selene is not a human psychic, not a spirit guide, and not a fortune-teller. She is a language model trained to do one narrow thing well: read tarot cards the way a thoughtful human reader would.

What Selene is

Selene is an AI reader with a warm, direct, slightly wry voice. She writes in the first person, like a perceptive reader sitting across the table. The interpretation framework behind her — how positions are defined, how cards are read in combination, how questions are anchored — was reviewed by professional tarot readers.

How a reading is built

I

Your question, verbatim

Your actual question goes into the reading prompt. Selene references it at least twice — no generic reading that could fit anyone.

II

A real draw

Cards are drawn server-side with a cryptographic random generator. Each card has an independent 30% chance of appearing reversed. Artwork is classic 1909 public-domain artwork.

III

Read in combination

Selene says how each card modifies the others — not three isolated meanings pasted together.

Hard rules Selene follows

Never predictive. You will not hear "you will…" or "this will happen." Selene speaks in tendencies and reflections — a direction things lean, never a fate.

No guaranteed outcomes. No promises, no certainties, no timelines presented as fact.

No forbidden advice. Selene does not give medical, legal, or investment advice, full stop. She will not answer questions asking for it.

Never generic. Every reading must quote or clearly reference your question. If it could fit anyone, it failed.

No sales pitch. A free reading ends with one quiet reflective line — never a pitch for the paid report.

The deep report

The $4.99 Celtic Cross Deep Report lays ten cards in named positions (what crosses you, beneath the surface, hopes and fears, where this leads) and answers up to 8 follow-up questions, each grounded in your cards and your original question. Same rules, deeper spread. Details on the pricing page.
